PPCB Transferred 44 Engineers

Patiala (30th August):- The Punjab Pollution Control Board Chairman Dr. S.S. Marwaha transferred 44 engineers to further improve upon the working of the Board.

Disclosing this to the press Dr. Charanjit Singh, Deputy Director of the Board said that with due approval of Hon’ble Environment Minister Sh. O.P. Soni, 7 Senior Environmental Engineers, 20 Environmental Engineers and 17 Assistant Environmental Engineers have been transferred so as to induce the young generation to the field duties. These transfers were necessitated to break the long stay of the officers at a particular place and to combat pollution using latest technologies through the young officers of the Board so as to develop a second & third line of shinning officers for future.

The spokesman of the Board further said that Senior Environmental Engineers of Bathinda, Patiala-I, Patiala-II, Ludhiana-II, Jalandhar and Amritsar Zone have been transferred besides Environmental Engineers of 9 Regional Offices namely Faridkot, Bathinda, Sangrur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Ludhiana-I,II,III,IV, Hoshiarpur have also been transferred.
