Police solves murder mystery within 3 days, 4 including paramour held

Ferozepur: The Ferozepur police claimed to have solved the murder mystery within three days over extra marital relations and arrested four accused inclding paramoour, identified as Gurcharan Singh(45) and Baldev Singh (21) from Lakha Haji village on July 6 and Kulwant Singh (45) and Gurmail Singh (28) from near village Tibbi on July 9.

Divulging with the details, Bhagirath Singh Meena, SSP Ferozepur informed that Mamdot police, on July 3 got information about the dead body found on the banks of Lachman canal. The first action was to identify the dead body. One mobile was found near the body which helped the police to reach the accused. Later on, the police team – Rattan Singh Brar SP(I) Satnam Singh DSP(R) Jagdish kumar, DSP(PBI) and Gurpreet Singh SHO Mamdot – working pro-actively, was successful in nabbing the accused of the blind murder case. Within three days, two accused identified as Gurcharan Singh Baldev Singh, were arrested on July 6. The remaining two accused namely Kulwant Singh and Gurmail Singh were arrested on July 9. Besides, the hammer used at the time of murder and motorcycle Platina without number of the victim Phuman Singh, one country made pistol, four live cartridges 12 bore, were also recovered.

SSP further said, the main object behind the murder has come on surface that Phuman Singh was working at brick kiln at village Sabuana. Kailash Kaur, wife of Phuman Singh had extra marital affairs with Kulwant Singh and wanted to eliminate Phuman Singh. The accused took Phuman Singh to the residence of Phuman Singh and gave him sleeping medicine and murdered him by hitting on the head with the hammer. All the four accused took Phuman Singh to the and threw him with a motorcycle in the Lachman canal. The dead body and motorcycle were found from different places. Further details would come on record only on the arrest of the wife of Phuman Singh. A separate case under Arms Act has also been registered and further investigations are on.

He said the police are investigating the matter with backward and forward crime history with 5 days police remand but so far nothing has come out about their criminal record.
