Police investigating after shell casings found near Lawrence Heights school

Police are investigating after shell casings were located near a school in the city’s Lawrence Heights neighbourhood.

The casings were found in a back parking lot of John Polanyi Collegiate Institute, located near Lawrence Avenue and Allen Road.

Police said they received numerous calls from people who heard multiple shots fired in the area.

It is unclear if anyone was injured.

According to investigators, a black car was seen leaving the scene shortly after the shots were fired.
