New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address two election rallies in Anantnag and Srinagar districts of Kashmir Valley on December 6 with BJP exuding confidence that it will achieve its ‘Mission 44+’ to form the next government in the state. “Prime Minister Modi will address two election rallies in Srinagar and Anantnag on December 6,” Vice President of state BJP unit Ramesh Arora told reporters here.

He said the party has applied for permission to the concerned authorities to hold the rallies. The Prime Minister is also scheduled to address two more election rallies in Jammu region in the coming phases of elections in the state, Arora said. “We have finalised the venues for rallies in Udhampur and Jammu districts. The dates will be finalised very soon,” he added.

Arora said the BJP was gaining substantial foothold in Kashmir as people from cross-section of the society, particularly youth, were joining the party. “When the youth of a society take a direction, it becomes difficult to stop them. We invite others also to join the BJP and give development a chance in the state,” he said.

Without naming the Abdullahs of National Conference and Muftis of the PDP, Arora repeated the allegations made by Modi two days ago at a rally in Kishtwar that the two families had “looted” the state over the past decades. He also hit out at Congress President Sonia Gandhi saying it was BJP government at the Centre which extended a helping hand to the flood-affected people of the state.

“The National Conference-Congress coalition government was nowhere for 10 days after the floods hit the state. It is their failure, not ours,” he added.
