The OnePlus Nord CE 3 is set to launch in India on July 5 alongside the new OnePlus Nord 3. Ahead of the official launch, OnePlus has confirmed that the new Nord CE 3 will feature a 120Hz AMOLED display, which is a considerable upgrade over the LCD screen on the Nord CE 2. Additionally, OnePlus has confirmed the addition of a Snapdragon 782G SoC, which is relatively more powerful than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 on the Nord CE 2. Based on official posters, the Nord CE 3 will include three cameras on the back, similar to the Nord 3.
The AMOLED display on the Nord CE 3 will aim to offer a better display performance, and customers can expect better colours. OnePlus has not revealed speaker details, which plays a crucial role in the overall viewing experience. However, the company promises better gaming performance with the Snapdragon 782G SoC. Based on Geekbench scores, Qualcomm promises a 5 per cent better CPU performance and a 10 per cent GPU boost compared to Snapdragon 778G+ SoC. The latter already performs better than the Snapdragon 695 SoC on the Nord CE 2. Therefore, we can expect big improvements on the Nord CE 3 with the latest chipset.
OnePlus has also revealed the Nord CE 3’s Aqua Surge colour option, which is reminiscent of the teal blue colour of the original Nord phone. The original Nord was overseen by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, who now runs the UK-based tech brand Nothing. Nothing is also going to launch Nothing Phone (2) in India, six days after the launch of Nord CE 3 and Nord 3.
Earlier in March, the Nord CE 3 was part of a leak. According to a MySmartPrice report, the smartphone will feature a 6.72-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and up to 256GB of storage. The top variant will also reportedly offer up to 12GB of RAM. Its camera system may include a 50-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The primary camera may also have OIS (optical image stabilisation) to offer sharper and more stable videos and images. Other key features may include an under-display fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C port for charging. Speaking of charging, the phone may include a 5,000mAh battery with 80W charging.
Recently, tipster Yogesh Brar said that the OnePlus Nord CE 3 prices are expected to be between Rs 25,000 to Rs 28,000. The Nord 3 will likely start at Rs 33,000, as per an Amazon poster
