The leader said that it is the duty of all the Punjabis residing in different countries of the world to offer helping hand to their brothers in their hard times.
The LOP said the NRIs for time being must refrain from spending their hard earned money on organizing cultural events and other things but to donate that money to the families of farmers. He said that the NRIs must form social help groups and adopt the farmers who are under debt.
The LOP demanded for a 4 day special session of Vidhan Sabha to discuss the problems being faced by the farmers of the state. He emphasized that the government must issue clear guidelines to the Banks, co-operative societies and arthiyas so they should stop harassing the farmers. Khaira also criticized Congress government for turning a blind eye to the problems of farmers.
