New Delhi: If researchers are to be trusted, using computers and participating in social activities can reduce the risk of developing age-related diseases in elders. According to a recent study, elders who use computers and often engage in social activities are most likely to stay away from age-related declines in thinking and memory.
As we age, it becomes highly essential to keep the mind active by keeping yourself busy. A sedentary lifestyle can bring a pause to your life and make you suffer enormously. Engaging in activities helps in keeping the mind healthier for a longer period of time.
This study has shown that elders who use computers at least once a week are less likely to develop thinking and memory problems than those who did not. Similarly, oldies who participate in social activities with family and friends are less likely to develop these age-related problems.
