Pilibhit, A court here has re-issued a non-bailable warrant against Union minister Kalraj Mishra in connection with a case of violation of poll code during 2009 Lok Sabha elections.
The Chief Judicial Magistrate court on August 31 had issued a non-bailable warrant against the Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises after he failed to appear before it in spite of several summons, and had fixed October 8 as the next date of hearing.
However, he failed to appear in the court yesterday leading to which the court re-issued the warrant and fixed November 22 as the next date of hearing, Assistant Prosecution Officer Amarnath Tewari said.
Violence took place when BJP nominee from here, Varun Gandhi, had surrendered in the court in connection with his alleged inflammatory speech on March 28, 2009.
Mishra was allegedly present at that time in violation of the prohibitory orders.
