HMD Global had announced three smartphones — the Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1, and Nokia 5.1, back in May this year in Moscow. The company has now launched its budget Nokia 3.1 smartphone in India. The Nokia 3.1 will get 3 years of monthly security patches and 2 years of major OS updates. The device comes in Blue, Copper, Black Chrome, and White Iron colour options.
The smartphone runs on an octa-core MediaTek MT6750N chipset aided by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable up to 128GB. The Nokia 3.1 features a 5.2-inch 18:9 HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It runs on Android One-based Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.
Optics wise, the handset sports a 13MP along with a f/2.0 and a LED flash. There is an 8MP fixed focus sensor with a f/2.0 aperture. The device is kept alive by a 2990mAh. On the connectivity front, the handset includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, GLONASS and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, magnetometer, gyroscope and proximity sensor.
The Nokia 3.1 costs Rs 10,499 for the 2GB RAM/16GB storage variant and will be available for purchase starting July 21 across retailers and online via Paytm Mall and Nokia’s web store.
