No Butcher houses allowed in Punjab : Government

Chandigarh, The Punjab government today clarified that no slaughter houses (Butcher khanas) would be set up in the state. Stating this, a spokesman of the Chief Minister’s Office said here today that the government fully respected the sentiments of the people in this regard and would do nothing that hurts their feelings. The statement comes in the wake of controversy surrounding a project near Sangrur.
