Jandiala Guru, July 24
A day after Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu targeted the state government for turning a blind eye towards her Amritsar East constituency and showering Bathinda with grants, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today refuted the allegations.
Talking to the media after a Sangat Darshan programme here, the CM said the SAD-BJP government was working to ensure overall development and growth in every nook and corner of the state without any prejudice or regional disparity.
Dr Sidhu today again met the CM. She handed him over a list of projects pending in her constituency for the last three years. She urged Badal to clear Rs10 crore grant from Amritsar Improvement Trust on priority. She said the CM assured her that funds would be released soon.
She said she had demanded that a deadline be fixed for clearing all pending projects. She also reiterated if Rs10 crore grant was not cleared, she would stage fast-unto-death in Amritsar from August 15.
