‘New India’ going ahead with mantra of ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan and Jai Anusandhan’, says PM Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that science is the basis of “solution, evolution and innovation” and that is why the ‘New India’ is going ahead with mantra of ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan and Jai Anusandhan’.

Speaking after inaugurating the Centre-State Science Conclave via video conferencing, the prime minister said, “For the development of 21st century New India, science will play an important role in accelerating growth of all areas and sectors.”

Talking further about the scientists in India, he said, “Our bright minds have always made us proud and Indian scientists are doing wonders.”

He urged everyone to celebrate the achievements of scientists. “When we celebrate the achievement of our scientists, science becomes part of our society and culture. I urge all to celebrate the achievements of our scientists,” the PM said.

“Celebrating their innovations and successes will inspire our people,” PM Modi added.

The two-day Conclave is being organised at Science City, Ahmedabad on September 10-11.

This first of its kind Conclave will strengthen Centre-State coordination and collaboration mechanisms – in the spirit of cooperative federalism – to build a robust science, technology and innovation (STI) ecosystem across the country, said the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
