Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, June 13: Nek Chand, the common man who turned into a legend with his world famous creation Rock Garden, was cremated with full state honours at Sector 25 cremation ground in the evening. He was 90.
The convoy carrying the mortal remains of the legend started from Rock Garden at around 4 pm and reached the cremation ground at around 5 pm.
Nek Chand, who breathed his last at the PGI at 12.11am on Friday, had been was ailing for some time. He suffered from diabetes, hypertension and was also diagnosed with cancer.
