Chandigarh, April 22: Former BJP MP from Amritsar Navjot Singh Sidhu is among the seven persons who are likely to be nominated to the Rajya Sabha against vacancies.
Other names in circulation include that of Mary Kom, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, journalist Swapan Dasgupta, Bollywood star Anupam Kher, Malyalam cinestar Gopi Suresh and economist Suresh Jadhav, maintain sources in the ruling BJP.
Sidhu and his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu who is BJP MLA from Amritsar East are arch critic of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
