Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Thiruvananthapuram: Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani on Saturday announced that the national-level Kala Utsav for students studying in CBSE schools would be held in Delhi in December every year.
Addressing a campaign function here on various insurance and financial security initiatives of the NDA government, Irani said Kala Utsav, on the lines of Kerala state school youth festival, would be held at Siri Fort Auditorium in the national capital.
Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani on Saturday announced that the national-level Kala Utsav for students studying in CBSE schools would be held in Delhi in December every year.
It was a long pending demand of CBSE students to have a Kala Utsav at the national level. “Taking inspiration from Kerala, we are taking the youth festival as a national programme,” she said.
Students can showcase their talents in music, dance and other art forms in the festival, she said, adding it was a proposal made by the state BJP leadership.
