Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to be sworn in JK Chief Minister on March 1

Jammu, Peoples Democratic Party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed will be sworn in as the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir on March 1, latest reports said.

“Yes, decks have been cleared for Mufti Sahib to be sworn in as the chief minister of the state on March 1,” a source told IANS.

Sources have told ABP News that 6 MLAs each of PDP and BJP will take oath as Cabinet ministers.

PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti will meet BJP President Amit Shah this afternoon after seven-week long negotiations between the two parties.

It will be followed by a meeting between PDP patron Sayeed with Prime Minister Minister Narendra Modi later this week.

Sayeed had earlier headed a coalition government with Congress for three years from 2002.

In the Assembly polls held in December last year, PDP emerged as the single largest party with 28 seats while BJP got 25 seats in the 87-member House.
