Chandigarh: 16 June : S Inder jit Singh zira Chairman kisan and khet majdoor cell today said that Prime Minister Sh Narender Modi is anti Punjab and Anti farmer. Zira wrote a letter to the Prime minister for cancellation of his trip to Sri Anandpur Sahib on 19th of this month for 350 centenary celebrations. He lso raised the issues like implementation of Swaminathan report, to withdraw the SLP filed by the Gujarat government against the sikh farmers settled there, to waive off the debt of farmers and to compensate them for their loss in produce. Modi did not wanted to agree to any one of these that’s why he cancelled his trip to Punjab.
Zira after having a meeting of his cell at Chandigarh today demanded that a farmer who owns less than 5 Acre should be brought under MNREGA, to give 90%subsidy on the seeds, to completely waive off the farmer debt in Punjab, not to dismantle FCI and to fix MSP of the crop immediately. These all are the basic demands of the farmers of Punjab which are increasing the number of suicides of farmers also. The meeting was attended by principal Hardeep Singh Patti, Jagtar Singh Rajla, Babbal jit Singh Khyala, Amit Singh Montu, Amandeep Singh, Tejinder Singh, Baljinder kaur Ruby, Gurjit Singh, Amrik singh, Sadhu singh, Balkar Singh Bhangu and Rubal Virdi
