Mike Tyson has revealed that he was sexually abused after being abducted when he was a child.
The former boxer was seven years old when he was seized on a New York street by an “old man”.
“He bullied me, sexually abused me and stuff… snatched me off the street. I was a little kid. Never seen him again,” The Independent quoted him as saying.
Tyson, however, did not inform the police after he managed to escape from his clutch.
The memory has remained with him, but he is not sure whether the experience changed him or not.
Tyson’s personal life has been wrecked by turbulence. He has been arrested on numerous occasions for drug possession, assault and the rape of an 18-year-old girl in 1991.
He was sentenced to six years in prison, but was released in 1995 after serving three years.
He recently attracted publicity after calling the then Mayor of Toronto Rob Ford “the best Mayor in Toronto’s history”.
