PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – Police say two Peterborough, Ont., men are facing charges after pepper spray was allegedly used on three people at a high school.
Investigators say a 19-year-old man who had previously attended Crestwood Secondary School got into a fight with a 16-year-old boy on the school’s premises on Friday.
They allege the 19-year-old sprayed the 16-year-old in the face with pepper spray, and then sprayed two of the school’s staff members.
Officers say that during the altercation, a 22-year-old man who had also previously attended the high school allegedly assaulted a staff member who attempted to intervene.
Police say the 19-year-old is charged with three counts of assault with a weapon while the 22-year-old is charged with assault.
They will appear in court on May 3.
