Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, State Congress president Partap Singh Bajwa today alleged Revenue Minister Bikram Majithia was misleading people by saying that he had been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate as a witness and not accused.
He claimed the ED had summoned the minister on the basis of statements furnished by various accused in the drug smuggling case. They had categorically and unequivocally stated that the drugs were supplied at the behest of the minister who shared the proceeds of the crime and actively aided, abetted and facilitated the racket, he alleged.
“The minister played an active role in mediating on disputes among drug lords and provided them security to enable them proliferate the racket,” Bajwa alleged.
