Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, June 20: Punjab Revenue & Public Relations Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia today expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of Veteran Communist leader and the Chief Editor of Nawan Zamana Mr. Jagjit Singh Anand, who died yesterday in a private hospital at Jalandhar.
In a condolence message, Mr. Majithia said that Mr. Anand played a significant role not only in Communist movement but also in the field of journalism. He said that under the encouraging leadership of Mr. Anand, the daily Punjabi newspaper Nawan Zamana emerged as the nursery of budding journalists. He said that in his death a void has been created in the field of journalism which was difficult to be filled in near future.
Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family, Mr. Majithia prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and give then courage to bear this irreparable loss.
