Indian ace Leander Paes and his Spanish partner Fernansdo Verdasco crashed out in the second round of the men’s doubles at the US Open in New York on Friday.
Paes and Verdasco lost 5-7, 6-4, 3-6 to unseeded American pair Steve Johnson and Sam Querrey.
The American giant-killers Johnson and Querrey had also knocked out top-seeded compatriots Mike and Bob Bryan in the first round.
