Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
CHANDIGARH, December 18: Following the consistent demand and suggestions by a number of party leaders and workers, the busts of three party leaders including two former Prime Ministers late Ms Indira Gandhi and late Mr Rajiv Gandhi and former Chief Minister Late Mr Beant Singh, in the Congress Bhawan, here have been relocated to the lawns for better maintenance.
The busts were previously located at the entrance in the parking area. There was no front area for the regular maintenance like planting of flowers there. Now the busts have been placed inside the complex in the sprawling lawns. The new place was chosen after due consultations with the landscaping experts also who will be guiding to beautify the immediate surroundings.
The party leaders and workers have appreciated the relocation as it is easy and convenient to pay tributes to the three great leaders at the new place. All the three leaders had sacrificed their lives for the unity and integrity of the country and it was important to accord them a proper and respectful place where everybody can pay tributes to them.
