Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, November 24: Amritsar Congress leader Sukhjinder Raj Singh Lally Majithia today challenged Deputy Chief Minister Sujkhbir Singh Badal to prove the authenticity of the audio-tape that has been cited as evidence by him to prove the involvement of Congress leaders in Sarbat Khalsa organised by some Sikh organisations on November 10.
It may be mentioned that Sukhbir and other Akali leaders have been referring to a taped conversation porported to be of Lally Majithia and Harminder Singh Gill with some organisers of the Sarbat Khalsa congregation to allege Congress hand.
He warned Sukhbir of filing defamation case against him as he was leveling false and baseless allegations against him without proving the veracity of the tape.
He made it clear that he participated in the Sarbat Khalsa as a Sikh the agenda of which was sated to be the steps to be taken to restore dignity of the supreme institutions like Akal Takht and the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. He said he would participate in any campaign on this agenda in his capacity as a devout Sikh.
At the same time, he asserted was nationalist and secular in real sense as Sikh religion itself was secular.
