Congress demand of Sharma’s resignation laughable
Chandigarh: By taking the resignation of the BJP Ferozepur unit former president Jagtar Singh Katora and Yuva Morcha former president Jimmy Sandhu, State President of the party Kamal Sharma has proved that BJP is a party with a difference. Expressing these views, Senior Cabinet Minister Bhagat Chunni Lal has stated that such a prompt step taken by Sharma, in wake of just the names of Katora and Sandhu cropping up in some criminal case, shows his exemplary conduct, for which he should be appreciated. Terming the demand of the Congress for resignation of Kamal Sharma as laughable, Bhagat took a dig on the Congress stating, “It seems that from national level to district, the Congress is on resignation demanding spree. Every other day, Congress starts demanding resignation of the BJP leaders without any rhyme or reason.” Bhagat said that there were so many scams during the Congress regime including Coalgate, Commonwealth Games and Telecom but Congress made all efforts to save its culprit partymen. “Rather, Congress owes an explanation to the people of this country, why the party protected its corrupt leaders, despite the fact that even CAG and different courts of the country are holding negative view”, said Bhagat, while making it clear that Kamal Sharma has not done anything for which the party will seek his resignation.
