Patiala, IAS officer Kahan Singh Pannu today took charge as the 24th chairman of the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB).
It will be his second tenure as PPCB chairman.
Earlier, he had been serving as the officiating Vice-Chancellor (VC) of IK Gujral Punjab Technical University.
Pannu has also served as Secretary in the state Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training.
The post of PPCB chairman had fallen vacant after the transfer of Manpreet Singh Chhatwal.
After assuming charge, Pannu said, “We have to work hard to curb pollution and make Punjab go green.”
