Chandigarh, May 4 :Justice Ranjit Singh (Retd.), Commission of Inquiry constituted by Government to inquire into all incidents of sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Srimad Bhagwad Gita and Holy Quran Sharif in the State of Punjab, will visit District Amritsar, Kapurthala and Taran Taran on 15th May, 2018 and to 17th May, 2018.
The commission has, so far, visited the places of incidents of sacrilege in Districts SAS Nagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, Ropar, SBS Nagar, Hoshiarpur, Barnala, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Moga, Sangrur and Malerkotla,.
The Commission is now scheduled to visit the District Amritsar,Kapurthala and Tarntaran from 15th May, 2018 and to 17th May, 2018. The Commission will visit the places of incidents of sacrilege in The Districts.
Divulging about the visit of Spokesman of commission said that while enroute to Amritsar Commission shall first vist Hamira, District Kapurthala. Thereafter, the commission shall visit village Sathiala, Police Station Beas, then Nijjerpura, Police Station, Jandiala, District Amritsar (Rural).
The Commission shall pay visit to District Tarn Taran on 16th May, 2018. The list of the places where the Commission shall visit are attached. The programme for the sequence shall be finalized in consultation with the SSP, Tarn Taran. On 16.05.2018, only the Commission shall also pay a visit to village Toti in District Kapurthala Police Station Fattu Dhinga. The commission thereafter would visit remaining sites of incident of Amritsar Commissionerate on 17th May, 2018.
The spokesperson further said that any person desirous of making a statement before the Commission can appear before the Commission on the said dates at District Amritsar, Kapurthala and Taran Taran or on any working day at the office of Commission Tower No.5, 4th floor Forest Complex, Sector-68, SAS Nagar Mohali.
