Patiala, Tracking her new account on social networking site, police have arrested a woman doctor who was convicted for murder of an additional district and sessions judge in 2005.
Doctor Ravideep Kaur had jumped the parole in December last year and fled from Patiala after planting a suicide note to mislead the police, an official said.
Police had CCTV footage retrieved from a Patiala bus stop and Ambala railway station from where Kaur boarded a train to Uttarakhand, said the police officer.
Police said since she was not using a phone, police was tracking social networking site account of her North America- based relative, who police added her as a friend a few days ago using her fake name.
“She was in touch with the account holder, whose account Patiala police were tracking since her disappearance,” police said.
She had jumped parole in December last year after she was convicted for the sensational murder of additional district and sessions judge Vijay Singh in 2005.
Kaur was caught from Kashipur town of Uttarakhand last week with one kg gold and Rs 12.9 lakh in cash.
Ravdeep had gone missing on December 15 last year leaving behind a suicide note at her native home in Patiala.
Police said Ravdeep lived in Maoist-dominated towns of Nepal under the fake name of Arpita Jain. She allegedly used all her last three paroles to arrange logistics for her final escape, they said.
She even underwent a facial treatment at a cosmetic clinic in Chandigarh, police added.
Ravdeep, who had paid Rs 5 lakh to one Manjit Singh to kill the judge, was putting up in Tikapur and Lamki municipalities of Kailali district of Nepal, while preparing to flee to some “other country,” police said.
Police nabbed her when she came back to Uttarakhand for some documents to exit the country.
