Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh

Recalling the stellar role of first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru in nation building, the President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee and Lok Sabha MP from Gurdaspur Mr Sunil Kumar Jakhar today said that Pandit Nehru laid the foundation of progressive and dynamic India.
Paying floral tributes to Pandit Nehru on his birth anniversary here at Punjab Congress Bhawan, the PCC Chief said that the former Prime Minister’s visionary and dynamic approach made India a front runner country in the world. He said that Pandit Nehru acted as a catalyst in carving out modern day India and due to this planned approach our country has scripted success stories in every field. Mr Jakhar said that the former Prime Minister was a great nationalist who was a front ranking leader of the Indian freedom struggle.
The PCC Chief said that under the guidance of father of nation Mahatma Gandhi, the former Prime Minister championed the cause of every resident of the country. He said that in post independence era the role played by Pandit Nehru as the first Prime Minister of India made the country self reliant, progressive and vibrant in every sphere. Mr Jakhar said that the former Prime Minister was a true nationalist and patriot, who was a source of inspiration for the entire country especially the youngsters. He said that Congress party would always tread the path shown by this iconic national hero.
The PCC President was accompanied by OSD to Chief Minister Captain Sandeep Sandhu and MLA Mr Angad Saini.
