Chandigarh, While lashing out over the ignorance of the state Government towards the future of 120 medical students, who have been marking their protest outside the Government Medical College, Amritsar, the leader of opposition Sunil Jakhar demanded the immediate relief to the 120 medical students and their parents. Sunil Jakhar said that the medical council of India has been cancelled the recognition of the private college due to the shortage of the staff and other facilities, in which students had taken the admission in the year 2011. He said that the futures of these students are on stake and they and their parents have been protesting from the last so many days.
Sunil Jakhar also demanded that chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal should interfere in the matter and resolved the issue, so that the precious time of the students could be save and the mental and physical harassment of the parents along with their wards could also be stopped. He also demanded that the concerned university and state government should also do arrangements for their upcoming Examination, which is going to be held in next month.
In this regard, the parents and students also met with leader of opposition. They also alleged that due to some political compulsion, the state government has been doing nothing in this regards. While responding to their problem, Sunil Jakhar assured them to provide every possible help.
