Mumbai, Salman has approached Jacqueline to do an item song in his production venture which stars newbies Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty. Salman Khan might be busy with an array of films that are up for release. But the actor is doing everything to ensure a perfect debut vehicle for newcomers Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty in his home production – the Hero remake. And if sources are to be believed, the Dabangg actor has also requested his Kick co-star to step in. “Salman has actually asked Jacqueline to be a part of Hero. But it’s not a special appearance. Salman has asked Jacqueline to feature in one of the item numbers in the film,” our source revealed. The actress too has readily agreed to do the same. “Jackie shares a very warm relation with Salman and she instantly came on board. Despite having a packed schedule, she has given her nod to doing the song and dance number in Hero,” revealed the same source.
Jacqueline had the biggest hit of her career, thanks to Salman’s Kick and has always been very fond of her co-star. But there were other reasons for having Jackie on board. “Salman was bowled over by Jackie’s dance performance in Jumme Ki Raat. Also, her version of the Devil song brought in a lot of appreciation. That’s why when the idea of an item number cropped up, Salman immediately called Jacqueline,” told an industry insider.
Jacqueline has a flurry of films lined up- Karan Johar’s Brothers, Excel’s Bangistan, her international film Definition of Fear, her Sri Lankan film, Houseful 3, Dishoom and Turbanator. We heard the actress, along with her Dishoom co-star Varun Dhawan, will be flying off to Abu Dhabi to shoot for a song in the desert. “Jackie has already planned her schedule to fit in the song shoot. The team is planning to shoot the song around April end,” our source informed.
Salman, too has been doing his bit to promote the newcomers and his production venture. The actor will be singing a song, which will be used for the film’s promotions. Not just that, the actor who’s busy shooting for Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo simultaneously, has decided to shoot a promotional video for Hero himself. “The song that he is singing will be used as a promotional video where Salman will be dancing with the film’s cast. Salman will also be joining the Hero team for all the promotions,” the source revealed.
But is it the same song that Jackie’s will gyrate to also? “No,” confirms our source. “Jackie will be seen grooving to a hot and wild item number with Sooraj Pancholi.” That’s two-much hotness to handle!
