Hyderabad, Yuvraj Singh has been ruled out of the first two weeks of the Indian Premier League after failing to recover from an ankle injury sustained during the recently-concluded World T20.
The left-handed batsman, who was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 7 crore at this year’s auction, suffered the injury during India’s pulsating final group-stage match against Australia in the World T20 in Mohali last month. “Sadly, Yuvraj will be out for a couple of weeks but we don’t know how long that is going to be,” Sunrisers Hyderabad coach Tom Moody was quoted as saying by iplt20.com. “A player like Yuvraj Singh is important to any team. He is not only a match-winner with the bat, but he is a very useful bowler in those middle overs,” he said.
