Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Mumbai, Hinting that after the October 15 Maharashtra assembly elections the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and the Shiv Sena may forge an alliance, MNS chief Raj Thackeray said on Wednesday that if needed, he and Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray will join forces.
When asked why Raj and Uddhav were not coming together, Raj Thackeray said while speaking to a news channel, “For the development and better future of Maharashtra, if there is a need, we brothers will come together.”
Raj further said, “More than anyone’s ego and clashes, Maharashtra is more important for me. But others don’t need to worry and interfere in it.”
After the Shiv Sena and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) broke up their 25-year-old alliance, political experts had predicted the possibility of the Sena and the MNS coming together post the assembly polls. Moreover, both Uddhav and Raj Thackeray have been severely criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP.
A day ago, Raj had also criticised Modi for being busy in campaigning for the assembly polls when Pakistani troops have been violating the ceasefire, firing along international border posts and killing Indian jawans.
