Model-actress Tejaswini Kolhapure says she is happy with the way her niece Shraddha Kapoor’s career is shaping up in Bollywood.
Tejaswini, 34, who was last seen in a small role in Mani Ratnam’s Raavan, said the Ek Villain actress waited for seven years to get good roles.
“I am proud of Shraddha because she has waited for seven years to get good roles. But the beauty of it was she never slipped and went in a different direction. She has always been very focused,” said Tejaswini, who Padmini Kolhapure’s sister.
Tejaswini, who is expecting her first child with director husband Pankaj Saraswat, has teamed up with Anurag Kashyap again in Ugly. The actress began her journey in Bollywood with Anurag’s murder mystery film Paanch, which never released.
“The film is good and I don’t know why it is not releasing. But it gave me the confidence as an actress that I have done something good. Anurag is the person who had courage and confidence to cast me. I owe my new lease of career to him,” she said.
