Amritsar: 19-12-15: The Honorable Punjab Haryana High court should immediately take the suo motto notice of the recent accidental deaths in Punjab by the buses of ruling family and their close associates. These buses are crushing the children of the poor people in a routine manner. Citing the recent two cases involving the crushing of children by these buses in Channu and Tarntaran, S Charanjit Singh Channi, Congress legislature party leader said that the poor people are being crushed and then threatened not to pursue their cases even though after claiming their kids lives by the buses of these influential leaders associated with the Badals. He also demanded till the high court proceedings are on these all buses should be taken off the roads. Channi met the family of late Gurpreet Kaur, daughter of Palwinder Singh of Diyalpura village in Tarntaran at the circuit house Amritsar today. He demanded that the police have registered a case under IPC 304 which is not right. The driver intentionally in contemplation that she died again crushed the girl once hit by the bus. This makes a fit case for IPC 302 and immediately the bus driver and the owner of the bus company should booked under this IPC. Channi also assured the family every help from his party and told them to fight for justice tooth and nail.
Channi, while describing the previous incidents, said that on April 29 a teenager and her mother was thrown off the moving orbit bus in moga, on 9th July a 40 year old scooterist was killed in Ropar by orbit bus owned by Badals for which I myself sat on dharna for three days, on Dec11 14 year old girl was crushed in Mukatsar by new deep transport company bus belonging to akali leader and now this has again happened by this Newdeep transport company in Tarntaran. The list is endless because number of people don’t want to come forward and take the Badals and their influential leaders head on.
Channi also blamed that these buses are the only source of transport of drugs in Punjab because they are safe. None of the police machinery or the civil administration dares to even stop and search these mobile drug vendors running in the state.
Channi was accompanied by S Harminder Singh Gill, S Sukhpal bhullar, S Raj kanwal Preet Singh Lucky, S Inderjeet Singh Zira while meeting the family of the deceased in Amritsar.
Channi also termed national herald case as a witch hunting by the Narendra Modi Government.
Earlier S Charanjit Singh Channi also paid obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib today in the wee hours, he took a holy bath in the Sarovar and listened to the morning kirtan.
