Chandigarh, The 24X7 Grievances Portal of Rural Development Department has caught the fancy of common rural people with more than 101 citizens registering their complaints on it and receiving time bound reply.
Disclosing this here today Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Punjab Mr. Sikander Singh Maluka informed that to facilitate the general public and redress their grievances at their door steps, the state government had launched this facility with the help of an IT application developed by NIC and being Managed & monitored by IT officers of Punjab ePanchayat Society. He said any person could register his grievances or query to the rural development and panchayat department in a hassle-free manner without approaching any officer or rural development office while sitting at home. The Minister further said that all complaints would be disposed in a transparent manner on priority. The concerned officers of the department have also been instructed to follow the new I.T. procedure for providing better and effective service to the public. Referring to the complaints received till date Mr. Maluka said that about 101 complaints had been received so far that has been trying to dispose off in a time bound manner. He further appealed to the public to opt this new technology and save their time and money.
