Fire breaks out in bus after collision with speeding truck in West Bengal, 4 injured

At least four people, including the driver and conductor, were injured after a fire broke out in a bus on Sunday after it was hit by a speeding truck in Mekhligung in Cooch Behar district of West Bengal.

A bus of North Bengal State Transport (NBSTC) was going from Cooch Behar to Jalpaiguri on Sunday morning. When it reached Mekhligung, the bus collided with a speeding lorry. A fire broke out in the bus right after the collision.

Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Over 30 passengers were on board the bus when it caught fire. Injured people have been taken to the Mekhligung hospital. The accident caused traffic disruption for some time. The truck driver managed to escape from the spot.
