The sole nomination of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh for the Rajya Sabha election from Rajasthan slated for August 26 was found valid as the scrutiny process completed at 3 pm.
Dr Singh is all set to be elected Rajya Sabha MP unopposed.
Four sets of nomination filed by Dr Singh were found valid after careful scrutiny by the Chief Electoral Officer Anand Kumar and Proposer Dr Mahesh Joshi, who is Chief Whip in the assembly.
