Recently in the city for an event, Delhi girl Esha told us, “For those who live in Delhi, Jaipur is the first choice. This has always been an added advantage for Delhiites, who come here for weekends a lot. I don’t mind driving for a few hours and coming here to shop, eat and have fun. I also love to visit the majestic Neemrana Fort, just an hour’s drive, which always transports me to a different world.”
The former Miss India is also in love with all things Rajasthani, especially the mojris. “Though I love every thing about the colourful state, be it the fabrics or authentic jewellery, I like the jootis the most. Decorated with beautiful embroidery, I can’t resist buying them,” she said, adding, “Whenever we talk about vibrant culture, and forts and palaces, Rajasthan is the only name that comes to my mind. And for any wedding in the family, a shopping trip to Jaipur is a must. My sister Neha, who is a fashion designer, regularly comes here to buy fabrics. Heavy lehenga odhnis are pretty tempting and I love to wear the gota patti lehenga teamed with a top or plain kurta.”
