Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, The Election Commission of india has invited entries from media houses for the National Media Awards-2014. These awards are to be given in the categories of Print and Electronic Media.
Stating this, a spokesperson of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab said that these honours will be awarded for educating and making the voters enlightened about the right of exercising their vote which ensured their maximum participation during recently held lok sabha elections-2014.
The spokesperson also said that the awards will be presented on the National Voter Day on 25thJanuary 2015 and the last date for submitting entries to the commission is 30th October.
According to the spokesperson the entries must have been telecast or published during the concerned period. In this regard, communication has been sent by the Election Commission Of india to the Chief Electoral Officers of all the States and U.T.’s.
The spokesperson further clarified that media houses can also send their nominations directly. He further said that with regard to Punjab, the last date of sending nominations to the Chief Electoral Officer is 27th October.
