Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, June 18: The Punjab Government has announced onetime relief in the house allotment norms. Stating this, an official spokesperson said that the Government has invited applications for the allotment of 35 Government houses falling under Category-8 and situated in Sector-39/42and relxed eligibility now for the employees.
According to the spokesperson, now according to the relaxed norms employees with grade pay Rs.5400 would be eligible for category 8 houses as against earlier condition of grade pay of Rs.8700. Besides employees working in Chandigarh , the spokesperson also divulged that those employees serving in the Punjab Government offices located at Mohali at Mohali would also be eligible for this accommodation provided that their Grade Pay is Rs. 5400 or more. Pending applications in accordance with the 5400 Grade Pay would also be considered.
Employees having their own houses in Chandigafrh and Mohali are ineligible to apply for these houses. The spokesperson further that Punjab government has invited applications for these houses which should be routed through Heads of Departments and should reach within 15 days..
