Edu Deptt starts Distt Primary School Games-2022 at SBS State University

Sports help in physical and mental development of players : Fauja Singh Sarari

Ferozepur , November 9, 2022: The Education Department has started the District Level Primary School Games 2022 at Shaheed Bhagat Singh State University here, which was inaugurated by Cabinet Minister by Fauja Singh Sarari. On this occasion MLA Ferozepur Urban S. Ranbir Singh Bhullar also attended as a special guest.

Addressing the impressive event on this occasion, Fauja Singh Sarari said that sports help in our physical and mental development. The Punjab government organizes block, district and state level games to attract children to sports right from the primary level of schools. He said that the Punjab government will leave no stone unturned to promote sports along with education and provide unlimited facilities to the players. He praised the education department and group of teachers for organizing primary games, and encouraged the players by organizing district level games despite financial constraints. He also announced a grant of Rs.one lac for the players from his discretionary quota.

MLA S. Ranbir Singh Bhullar said, the Punjab government under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann Chief Minister, has since its inception initiated major initiatives to promote sports and has organized major events like ‘Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan’. He said that in the near future, Punjab will touch new heights in sports and such tournaments will also provide a big platform to young players to showcase their talent. He said that with such a tournament, the nursery of sports will be prepared and these players will shine their name and of the country as well, by winning at the state, national and international level.
