Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, November 9: The Bharatiya Janata Party has strongly condemned the incident of the disrespect to Bhagwad Gita and Ramayana in Ludhiana and has demanded immediate arrest of the culprits behind the incident without any delay. In a release issued here today.
In a statement here, BJP State President Kamal Sharma described the incident as unfortunate and attack on the roots of the country, which no true Indian would tolerate.
He said that the incidents of sacrilege of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib and disrespect to other Granths and now torn pages of Bhagwad Gita and Ramayana clearly indicates that it is a well hatched conspiracy aimed at destabilising peace and communal harmony in the state.
Stating that if India is the body and Gita and Ramayana its soul, he said the incident on the eve of the festival like Diwali has deeply hurt the people of India. He appealed to the masses to maintain calm, peace and harmony in this hour of crisis and also depict the brotherhood in order to give a befitting reply to those trying to create unrest.
