Dilraj Johal linked to gang conflict found shot to death inside Richmond condo

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is asking for the public’s help to further its investigation into a man found shot to death at a Richmond condominium.

Richmond: On January 9, 2021 at around 11:50 p.m., the Richmond RCMP and paramedics responded to a unit at 8120 Lansdowne Road where they found 28-year-old Dilraj Johal dead with gunshot wounds.

IHIT has taken conduct of the investigation and is working in partnership with the I-Teams and the Richmond RCMP to gather evidence. Anyone with dash cam video who was driving in and around 8120 Lansdowne Road last night is asked to contact IHIT.

“Dilraj Johal was known to police and we believe he was targeted for murder. His death is the third homicide in the past four days related to the ongoing Lower Mainland gang conflict,” says Sergeant Frank Jang of IHIT. “IHIT will continue to work with all of our regional policing partners to mitigate any further violence.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the IHIT Information Line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
