Delhi Polls : Kiran’s aide takes back resignation within hours

New Delhi, Hours after Narendra Tandon, the campaign manager of chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi, resigned from the party accusing the former IPS officer of being dictatorial, Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay on Monday said Tandon had withdrawn his resignation.
“I just got to know from the party that Narendra Tandon visited the central party office and took back his resignation. He will continue to work for the BJP,” he said.
Tandon, who withdrew his resignation earlier this afternoon, cited his ‘emotional’ state of mind as the reason behind his earlier decision.
“I was a member of the party and will remain so. I will continue to work for it in the same manner. I had become a bit emotional,” said Tandon.
Tandon had resigned from the party earlier in the day after accusing the former IPS officer of insulting him on every issue.
Meanwhile, the last lap of campaigning for the February 7 Delhi Assembly polls continues in full swing.
The last date of campaigning for the polls is February 5. The results for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will be declared on February 10.
