Chandigarh, October 30: Deadlock continues between the Sikh religious leaders and the Parkash Singh Badal government over immediate release of brothers Rupinder Singh and Jaswinder Singh arrested in the Bargari sacrilege case and presently under judicial custody.
The five religious leaders including Panthpreet Singh, Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwala and Baljit Singh Daduwal were stopped at the YPS chowk in Mohali while they were leading the march to the residence of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and Prem Singh Chandumajra, both MPs, who were deputed by Badal to talk to them returned after holding parleys wioth them.
These religious leaders have made it clear that they want immediate release opf the two brothers.
