* SEA OF DEVOTEES WELCOME YATRA AT MUKERIAN, DASUYA, GARDIWALA, BHUNGA, HARIANA
Hoshiarpur, May 28: The Darshan Didar Yatra carrying relics of three Sikh Guru’s have now entered the Doaba region of Punjab. Today morning, the yatra started from Dashmesh College for Girls, Mukerian where a sea of devotees reached for the darshan of Relics of Guru Sahiban.
Before the start of this yatra, the ardas was performed by Singh Sahib Giani Maan Singh. A contingent of Punjab Police also gave a guard of honour to the Yatra while Panj Piara’s led the yatra.
Prominent among those present during the start of yatra from Mukerian were Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mr Des Raj Dhugga, chairman Zila Parishad Hoshiarpur Mr Sarabjot Singh Saabi, former minister Mr Arunesh Shakir, Deputy Commissioner Mrs Anandita Mitra, SSP Mr Rajjit Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr A Kartik, SDM Mr Rahul Chaba, MLA Mr Surinder Singh Bhulewal Rathan, SGPC member Mr Ravinder Singh Chak, Akali leader Mr Harbans Singh Manjhpur, general secretary of Employees Dal Punjab Mr Ishar Singh Manjhpur, Mr Satnam Singh Dhanoa, Mr Harmeet Singh Kaulpur, besides several others.
At Dasuya, the yatra was welcomed by MLA Bibi Sukhjit Kaur Sahi, SAD Legal Cell district president Mr Rajkuljinder Singh Sidhu, former MLA Mr Parkash Singh Gardiwal, President of Nagar Council Dasuya Dr Harsimrat Singh Sahi, Akali leader Mr Lakhwinder Singh Lakhi, Mr Bhupinder Singh, besides others.
The yatra passed through Gaunspur, Uchi Bassi, Gurudwara Takkar Sahib Dasuya, Gardiwal, Dusharka, Bhunga, Hariana and other villages.
The devotees had set up langar and chabeel stalls enroute the Darshan Didar Yatra. It is pertinent to mention that the yatra had reached village Naushehra Pattan last night and had halted for night at Mukerian.
