CPI(M) demands judicial enquiry in the case of killing of dalit brothers

Chandigarh,  The CPI(M) has strongly condemned the killing of two young dalit brothers at Jamalpur (Ludhiana) in most high handed manner with the connivance of police and with political motives.

Comrade Charan Singh Virdi Secretary Punjab State Committee while releasing the resolution of the State Secretariat meeting held on 1st October at Cheema Bhawan, Chandigarh, has further said that it has shaken the faith in democracy and human dignity of citizens belonging to all shades in Punjab. It exposes all the tall claims of Badal Government in providing rule of law in the state. It is an incident which is sufficient pointer to the fact that if such political killers are not curbed in time, it will further worsen the already deteriorating law and order situation in the state.

It is demanded that a comprehensive judicial inquiry be held in this heinous crime to bring to the public light its all ramifications including political dimensions of the case.
