New Delhi, A court here today directed Delhi Police to file an Action Taken Report (ATR) in a case alleging that former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit’s political secretary Pawan Khera and others cheated a person by promising jobs in exchange of money.
“The SHO Ambedkar Nagar is directed to file Action Taken Report in the case. Put up further hearing on November 29,” Metropolitan Magistrate Niti Phutela said.
The complaint filed by Ambedkar Nagar resident Rajpal Singh alleged that Khera in connivance with others had cheated him by asking him to deposit Rs six lakh in theCongress party fund in return of government jobs to his sons at New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC).
During the brief hearing, his counsel Gaurav Kumar Bansal submitted that Singh had filed a complaint in the Majnu ka Tila Police Station to conduct the necessary enquiry but the police officials neither investigated it nor any case was registered till date.
The complainant sought court’s direction for registration of FIR against three other persons — Mukesh, Pratap, Bhanu Pratap Sharma — whom he knew and helped him in reaching to Khera.
He has sought lodging of FIR against them for cheating, criminal breach of trust, forgery, extortion and misappropriation of money punishable under section 403, 406, 417, 419, 420, 120-B read with 34 of IPC.
In his complaint, Singh claimed that he was given a recommendation letter for clericaljobs at NDMC for his two sons on the letter head of Khera after he deposited Rs 6 lakh in the Congress party fund.
Thereafter he was asked by the accused persons to make his son fill the NDMC ID form on September 18, 2013 but after that he had failed to contact them.
