Chandigarh 23.04.2016: Dilber Mohd. khan (Chairman of minority Department Punjab Pradesh congress committee) while interacting with the press said that the present ruling government has ill-treated the minorities and have always kept their interest aside and never given the benefits which they always deserved. He said congress party in the upcoming elections will fight with the one and only agenda of regions development and shall move ahead keeping all the groups together.
He also said that ruling govt. has clearly ignored the minorities such as muslims, jain, budhists, and its consequence will be borne by the present govt. in the upcoming elections. He promised that congress will support minorities and will look forward to approve all the necessary and require requirements of the minorities keeping it as highest priority.
He also added that jatt sikhs are also less in count and because of ill practices of govt they are facing lots of troubles. Talking about minorities, he added in last 9 years, the funds of punjab wakf board.
Keeping one exceptions, rest in all the regions muslim brothers rights have been ignored and they are not been given the benefits of punjab wakf boards. Many of the properties of muslim brotherhood have been illegally captured, and the same are the sufferings of Jains and Budhists. They also said that muslims always vouched that Urdu should also be added as a part of educational circular but govt. has not shown any interest to it. Janab khan said that if congress came to former majority of efforts will be done to uplift the minorities and will be given the benefits and the rights they always deserved.
He said, new schemes for small scale industries will be introduced for minorities. He announced that after the formation of Punjab body, minority office (ghatt ginti vibhaag) would organize a state or regional level rally, and in coming Month minority vibhaag body will come into shape and inclusive of which deptt. names and employment opportunities will be generated. He said in minority vibhaag women and youth will be given more preference hence women will feel more empowered and also 20% of seats will be kept reserved for woman.
And lastly he added that majority of the population have lost their faith in the ruling govt and are unsatisfied with the policies that have been introduced and after winning the elections congress party will execute all their promises and will promote equality and brotherhood among all the groups of the Punjab region
